HAPPY NEW YEAR.

As we come to the end of this year and into 2026, we move into change.

The year on our calendars will change.

The way we date anything we sign will change.

And the fact is that we have no idea how much things will change around us as we go through another circle of the sun.

In our own lives.

In our region.

In our nation.

In the world.

Some people in this world regard that as exciting.

Others will view that with fear and trepidation.

Some will embrace it, others will resist it.

But as followers of Christ we know that we can have confidence through it whatever may come.

Because however much temporal realities might change, He is the Lord who does not change.

Because He is the Truth.

Because whatever He has promised we find the yes and amen in Christ Jesus.

Because He is the One whose word is forever settled in Heaven.

He is still the One who made the heavens and the earth.

He is still the One who set the sun, moon and stars in the sky.

He is still the One who gave the sign of the rainbow.

He is still the One who parted the Red Sea.

He is still the One who led His people in a pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night.

He is still the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Of Gideon, of Moses, of Samson, of Daniel, of Deborah, of David, of Jephthah and of Esther.

He is still the One who healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, fed the 5,000 and the 4,000, cleansed the lepers and turned water into wine.

Who calmed the storm at sea.

Who walked on water.

Who was glorified on the Mount of transfiguration.

He is still He who lives, who was dead and behold! He lives forevermore.

He is, and forever will be, the Lamb of God who is worthy to be praised.

His is the eternal kingdom.

His is the everlasting covenant.

His is the victory.

His is the blood that forever speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

His is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

He is our fixed point, our anchor, our rock.

And He is with you always, even to the end of the age.

So whatever this year holds know that in Him you are secure.

Know that in Him you are safe.

Know that in Him you are loved and accepted.

And walk into the uncertainties of a new year with confidence.

Because He who has called you is true.

Because He who has called you is faithful.

Because all things are possible with Him.

And because there is nothing in this world that can separate you from His love.

God bless you all.
